1.1 About FAQs & As
What does FAQs and As mean?
FAQ, short for Frequently Asked Questions, is an internet standard. The FAQ document is a compilation of the most common questions asked about a certain topic area. You are recommended to read the FAQ before asking a question. Answers could be found in the manual - READ THE MANUAL - or the FAQ.

FAQs and As is short for Frequently Asked Questions and Answers. We want answers to our lists of questions.

Leaders and organizers try to answer as many questions as possible, but regrettable few have the resources to answer all mail. None have the time and resources to help with the most simple questions.

As you ask questions and get a replies, do your best to document your results and submit new content to these FAQs & As. Make "summary" posts so that you share your discoveries and generate additional insights. Building and using FAQs & As makes for better community experiences and is everyone's duty. Insist that others post the FAQs & As. Make reminders. Then edit and re-edit the content within this knowledge base.

2.1 Additional documentation
Is there any other documentation available? Is there some documentation I can print?

An interactive tutorial on how to work with CLOH.Org would be nice.

Most of the documentation can be viewed and printed using your favorite browser.

Most of the content within this network resides under the DSL (Design Science License). Feel free to print and copy these pages.

3.1 How do I create web pages for CLOH.Org?
Can I change background and text color or add a background image?
You can, but please don't. We want to have all the web sites take a wide open approach and come under the control of lots of others. However, in the early stages, we need to work more on the content and not so much on the presentation. So, for the first two or more years, we'll want to keep a calm approach to more meaningless items such as background colors.

3.2 Creating multiple pages
How do I make my web site have multiple page as opposed to one long scrolling page? For instance a home page and then other pages that are linked to it.
Please avoid LONG scrolling pages, unless it is the FAQs & A document.

Create new pages as need. Keep the page to a tight topic. Create new concept maps too, as well adding and subtracting content from existing pages and maps.

Put the new pages in the same folder as the companion pages.

The home page and sub folders are called index.html.

3.3 Creating clickable Image Maps and Concept Maps?
Can I create a clickable image map with these concepts and outcomes from meetings?
Yes. Please do it. Some images are worth thousands of words. To get conversations moving quickly, we strive to use maps and graphics.

Some shareware applications are aimed at creating image maps visually: Mapper, MapMaker, ImageMapper.

LifeMap is a program used to create Concept Maps on a Macintosh. Many other drawing programs and concept mapping software tools are available.

6.3 Is there a Macintosh, Windows, Unix and/or Palm version available?
I use a specific computer. Is that supported?
All the content within this network should be fluid enough to play on all types of computers and platforms.

Plain HTML-files are cross-platform, as are .PDF files.

Please do not use Power Point Presentations, Word documents and Excel spreadsheets as they are NOT open documents viewed by all users. Rather, use "SAVE AS...." and make the file "Text." Or, best of all, put the content into the message body of an email and don't use any attachment.

6.4 Are there some "Made with CLOH.Org" graphics?
Is there some "Made with CLOH.Org" or "booster button" graphics that can be used on my pages elsewhere?
Sure. Make them and submit them. A small collection of images that can be viewed are going to be posted under the hq.CLOH.Org site.

Thanks for supporting CLOH.Org, Mon State, the Design Science License (see: http://dsl.CLOH.Org) and the public domain.
